Fed wants US regional banks supervised like big banks

US regional banks will be treated more like large banks, the Federal Reserve’s head of supervision has declared, amid worries over their worsening commercial real estate loan books. 

Michael Barr said that the supervisor will “introduce more co-ordination between the regional bank and large bank supervisory programmes”.
