Mass hedging against interest rate risk tests clearing system

Interest rate derivative volumes have “surged” as traders hedge against the impact of stubbornly high rates that triggered this year’s US banking crisis. The number of trades also grew by 18.2%, from 1.1 million to 1.4 million.
