House of Lords calls for new body to ‘watch the watchdogs’

Mounting concern around patchy regulation and “high-profile failures” in the UK has led a House of Lords committee to call for the formation of an Office for Regulatory Performance that would oversee the independence and accountability of the country’s regulators.
