Bank of Canada governor takes over as GHOS chair

On April 1, the Bank for International Settlements, which hosts the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, said Mr Macklem took over from François Villeroy de Galhau, governor of the Banque de France, who has chaired the GHOS since November 2019.
